Active Docking Tabs are missing the border when using VS 2005 or 2008 style and not using the option "3D Rounded Docking Tabs".

This problem can be reproduced using the BCGVisualStudioGUIDemo.
Enable the Windows "Class View" and "Solution Explorer" and dock them together using tabs.
Notice there is no border around the active tab.

Do the same using version 16.10, 16.00 or 15.00 e notice the border, which in my opinion looks better and should be the correct.

I don't have VS 2005 here, but I have VS 2008 and can say it does have the border.

1. "3D Rounded Docking Tabs" can be used in VS 2005 style only, not in VS 2008

2. We don't see any differences between 16.1 and 17.x. It would be great if you could post the screenshot illustrating the problem (or open a new support call)

Best regards,

1. Yes, I known "rounded Docking Tabs" are only available in VS 2005 style. That's one more reason you will not be using it in VS 2008 style :p
But ok, if it makes you happier, I can write:
"Active Docking Tabs are missing the border when using VS 2005 (not using the option "3D Rounded Docking Tabs") or 2008 style."
Is it any clearer?

2. I would love to post a screenshot here, but it seems the forum has no option no upload files.

But ok, I can send it by email to support (we even have the source code than changed). I just didn't image it would be so hard to someone run the demo and see the bug.

I've created issue "ID 5530" and posted the screenshots there (I do hope you can spot the difference!).
I also uploaded the offending code change made in version 17.00.

Thanks for information! Yes, there is no way to upload images to this forum directly, therefore we asked you to open a new support ticket.

We see the problem now: this visual problem happens in the Windows Classic Theme only and we're going to fix it in 18.0

Thanks again for the bug report!

Sincerely yours,

BCGSoft Technical Support
