I have hooked up an MFC CFindReplaceDlg to the CBCGPEditCtrl to get replace text functionality. In most editors I have used, replace text functionality first replaces the current selection (if it matches the search string) and then finds the next instance of the search string. This allows you to see the context of the string that is about to be replaced before deciding whether to replace it. For a CBCGPEditCtrl the ReplaceText function first searches THEN replaces, which is a bit annoying.
